The Hot Wheels Chevy Lumina was first released in 1992. I do not know who is the designer, but the casting is based on the
Chevrolet Lumina APV, a minivan produced from 1991 to 1996.
This is the original 1992 model. There is another version with medium-size wheels both at the front and rear.
The casting is very light and feels very plasticky.
Some of the pillars are painted on the plastic windscreen and windows.
The detailing with the windscreen wipers is a nice touch.
In 1995, they released this yellow taxi version and named it Lumina Minivan.
The Lumina Minivan appeared for a final time in 1997 in this metallic green livery. Note the difference with the B pillar.
APV stands for "All Purpose Vehicle". Although innovative, this minivan seems to have been a commercial failure.
